Anna Riley, LICSW

Anna is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker.

Anna graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology in 1998 and later earned a Master of Social Work degree from Boston University in 2002.

Her broad professional experiences vary from working with people struggling with addictions at a methadone clinic and detoxification facilities, to working with individuals struggling with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, adult attention-deficit disorder, self-esteem issues, and bipolar disorder.  Anna is also passionate about supporting people who have experienced intimate partner violence.

Anna’s therapeutic style is collaborative, kind, and friendly.  She openly welcomes people with addiction problems in all stages of recovery, hoping to combat shame or stigma.  She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help identify faulty beliefs we have about ourselves and/or the world.  Additionally, Anna pulls from emotive and relational therapy, and uses skills from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to best support her client’s needs.
