Edith Raskin, LICSW

Edie is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker.

Edie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Maryland in 1974 and a Master of Social Work degree from Tulane University School of Social Work in 1975.  

Since that time, Edie has worked as a social worker in a variety of settings, both medical and mental health.  She worked for several years as a Pediatric Social Worker at Boston City Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and Massachusetts General Hospital before returning to her original training in child mental health.  In 1990, she completed a year-long certificate program, The Postgraduate Study in Child Treatment at Boston University School of Social Work.

Edie enjoys working with children of all ages, doing both play and talk therapies.  She has worked extensively with children and adolescents who have ADHD, school adjustment problems, separation anxiety, and depression.  She also works with adults and  families who are struggling with issues related to separation/divorce, grief and loss, and coping with medical and/or mental illness.
