Kathie Barnard, LICSW

Kathie is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional.

She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts in 1975 and a Master of Social Work degree from Boston University in 1982.  

For over 25 years, she has practiced individual, couples, and family therapy, as well as offered consultation to individuals and organizations.  Kathie has worked as a Senior Social Worker and as a Supervisor at Boston Children's Hospital.  She has also worked as an Employee Assistance Program practitioner at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Partners Healthcare, Inc.  

Kathie aims to foster coping and recovery from a wide range of life's problems including anxiety, depression, chronic illness, grief and loss, adjustment issues, employment issues, parenting, balancing work and family, addictions, and trauma recovery.
